5 Morning Habits that Help Me Win My Days

  • EARLY WAKE UP.  You guys have heard me say this before but getting an early head start on the day and knocking out tasks early it so rewarding. For me that is 5. For everyone this can be different. My oldest wakes up at 6:30 to get ready for the bus, so that gives me 1.5-hour head start on getting things done. I still get my 8 hours of sleep so yes I go to bed by 9! 🙂

  • CREATE A LIST. I typically am building this the day and night before. Every morning though I take time to finalize my list of tasks to do that day and prioritize the order.

  • DON’T LOOK AT EMAILS. Yes don’t look at emails until after you have been in the office working for a couple hours. Typically whatever is in those emails will be more tasks and can end up being a huge time suck and pulling you away from being productive.

  • CLEAN UP. If your desk is unorganized or you have stacks of papers to sort of go through, add this to your list and get it done. For me I feel the same way about my house. Cleaning up with everything will leave you feeling more productive.

  • SWEAT! 3-4 mornings a week I break up my mornings by getting in a workout in a group environment. I work in my office currently with me myself, and, I. We all work remotely, so being around others, releasing endorphins, and accomplishing a workout that is good for yourself leaves you feeling accomplished and ready to tackle the rest of the day!

And because I am keeping it real…. okay almost real I did put on mascara! 😉 Here is what I look like majority of my week in the office! Workout gear, hair back, and ready to rock my day! Just in case my polished profile picture had you fooled!
