This is a post I have been prolonging and I know exactly why, but as 2015 is coming to a close this is a post that needs to be made. I am a girl that likes challenges and excitement. Being able to capture love at weddings for the last 6 years has been of one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. As I think back to every ceremony, all the families, and all couples I still keep in touch with, all the babies that are now been born I get emotional.

I shot exclusively weddings for 4 years before bringing families into my world a little over two years ago. Weddings were perfect for me because remember I like a challenge. To be a good wedding photographer (or even family photographer) you have to be able to think on your feet quickly, capture the entire day from the overall picture to the littlest details, you have to be on-point and on-que for 8+ hours. It is tough on your mind and body! But I loved every second of it. These last 6 years have been some of the best years of my life. It has been an honor. Where am I going with this right? Cut to the point.

2016 I will not be taking any weddings. I have been referring them all out. The reality of my world is I feel called to embark on a new path, a new challenge( Start Planner and Business Coaching), and with my three precious boys I can’t do it all. Will I be giving up photography completely? No. I will still be doing a splash of it for families as this is a piece of my heart that keeps my soul burning and I can’t just put it down. But I will be focusing my efforts more on Start Planner and teaching. I really feel like everything in my life has lead me to this point, and although I am sad to no longer pursue weddings, it just feels like the right choice.

It hit me like a ton of bricks this year that my boys are growing up and I needed to make some decisions. I love what I do and when that happens it is not easy, but I love my boys even more AND I am pretty stoked about Start Planner and a future of helping others find business success and happiness.

I hustled as a wedding photographer and had the honor of being published multiple times…. in The Atlantan Magazine, Atlanta Occasions, Behind The Shutter Magazine, Jezebel, Atlanta Weddings, Every Last Detail, Style Me Pretty, Unveiled Blog, and wrapping up my 2015 wedding season (and final wedding) Kathryn and John’s wedding was just published in The Celebration Society HERE. And I am not saying all this to say “Ohhh look at me”… It is to say I hustled as a wedding photographer and I plan to tackle 2016 by hustling in a different area, focusing on what fuels my soul and what matters most!

New website and blog coming January! Woot! Here are just a few weddings that stick out in my memory! I could not possibly go back through them all but every single wedding, relationship, and image I cherish!2015-11-12_00091
