Bunk Beds – Hello Beddy’s

Here is the first of many blog posts coming at you! Every now and then I like to sprinkle in a little home decor and personal posts into my blog, and the first one I am going to share with you is my boys bunk room up at Dickerson Hill! I had three different companies give me a quote to build custom bunk beds, and being honest, it was really expensive. Surely there had to be a better, more cost effective way to go about this. So I went on a hunt and found these Restoration Hardware Bunk beds on their baby and child website. What makes these even better is not only are they bunks beds, but they each have a trundle bed as well…2 extra beds, holla! I still wanted the built-in look, so we took the money that we saved by not having custom bunk beds built and put that towards a custom nickel gap wall with electrical outlets built in. And last but not least…. Beddy’s Comforters. If you have bunk beds, or are considering purchasing them, the hardest thing about them is making the darn beds! Not easy right? Well, Beddy’s Comforters are the solution to that! I am loving the clean, neutral look of this bedding AND now my kids can actually make their own beds… score!!!

The pillows I found on Society6, which if you haven’t seen their pillows you need to. They are all random and different artists.  Love! All of the designs are original artworks printed on everything from pillows to blankets and more. These pillows were the perfect combination. The cowhide rug and wall art are the perfect touch to complete the room.

Wall color is Benjamin Moore Simply White.

Here are a couple pictures of the finished space! Bed are from Restoration Hardware Baby and Child. Weller Bunk Bed & Trundle Set.

You guys see that zipper to make the bed. Holla! I can not say enough amazing things about Beddy’s Comforters!  This quote is from a Tim McGraw song. I saw something similar and loved it! Kara, in our STARTplanner offices, hand painted this on watercolor paper and I just had it framed at a local frame shop!

Here are couple pictures from Brooke from Paperlily Photography of my boys, well being boys in the space!

Remember that custom look. Yes, ordered the bunks and had these two opening cut into the wall and like I mentioned above had electrical ran into them as well. And yes my smallest things it is a secret passageway.

If you are reading this and struggle to get your kids to make their beds, then head over to Beddy’s and make your life a little easier…and tidier!
