Snow Jam 2014

To all my friends up north….I know you are laughing. If you have been watching my social media posts you know that we got snow here in Georgia and basically our entire state shut down! Tuesday morning it started snowing and I got a call from Roman’s school saying they were releasing early. Luckily I had just gotten groceries the day before so Jeremy and I both were able to be home by 12:30 and enjoy the excitement of the kids as the snow fell. We were all pumped!

For many Tuesday into Wednesday was a nightmare. With all the schools, businesses, and government employees all releasing at the same time it basically caused a gridlock on all the roads. Then the snow kept barreling down, leaving people stranded on roads sleeping in their cars or walking to nearby shelter. The excitement quickly turned into a panic state with so many family members wanting their loved ones home and safe. Here I am sitting here Friday morning and the school systems are still shut down. The thing is our state is not prepared for snow. Although it wasn’t “a lot of snow” it what enough to shut our state down.

For me personally that means day 3 of staying home with kiddos. So today will be another day of trains, fort building, and eating way to much! 🙂 At least the gym is open so I can slip in a workout!

This was our first snow in our new home and it was August’s first snow ever! We had a blast!

Roman was SOOO excited….

….as you can see! What is snow without a snow angel right? 🙂

Attempted to get a picture with them both…. Hey 1 of 3 is looking…. go me 😉

August wasn’t a big fan of the snow. Nothing slows him down….. nothing…. but he just sat there looking at it like what am I doing. He agreed with all the other drivers in Atlanta. It was to cold and slippery to be out.

See when I take the picture both eyes open. 🙂

But when Jeremy…… cough cough 🙂

August seriously showed no emotion.

He was just like really take me home I don’t like this white cold stuff.

A bunch of kids in the hood sledding and making memories!

This is probably one of my favorite pictures from the day. This is where he preferred to be with brothers hat on. I can’t say I don’t blame him! To all my GA peeps, hope you had some fun snow days!
