Snow Round 2

This is absolutely mind blowing that we have had so much snow!!! We just don’t get snow in Georgia, and to not just get it once but twice this year is amazing! Probably what I love most about these snow days is our worlds as we know them have stood still. Work has been pushed aside, parents are home, and kids are out and about. Today was just one of those days that I am thankful to live in such an amazing community. Moms sledding, dads building snowmen, kids laughing and playing…. it just doesn’t get any better.

Of course I brought along my camera for some of the fun today! One of the moms today asked me why her snow images were turning out so dark. Here is a little tip for the snow…. If you are shooting in auto or in aperture mode the in-camera meter is basically judging where the exposure should be. An image is exposed correct if it is at 0. But with snow there is so much reflecting light from all the white that the camera tends to make a bad judgment on where the correct exposure actually is. Soooo while shooting in snow actually over expose your image by about a stop. 🙂

Here you go! We had so much fun today out with friends!

Love this picture. Everyone out, about, and playing!

My big man Roman!

Is Lilly not a doll or what! I mean the hat, those sunglasses, that attitude like it is nobody’s business. 🙂

Love this picture!

The Horwege’s!

August was like, “really I am riding with dad again?!”

Love these smiles!

Wild man Hollis.

Love these two pictures! My boys!

Cuties!

This snowball right here was the start to our snowman! Carter (Roman’s buddy) and Roman.

You know…. Roman is no where to be found and August is not looking but hey… 🙂

Deborah and Savannah!

And here is where the snow man started getting serious!

Meredith and Roman!

Roman on the left already aggravating girls! 🙂

August…. like Mom really… not another picture… hehe

I mean this was serious business.

How many men did it take? Yes four. 🙂

Isn’t he cute!

The men!

The ladies!

and I will end on a smile! heheOkay snow. I feel done now. We have played enough… now I am ready for spring! 🙂
xoxo,

What an awesome photo gallery you have created for the beautiful snow day at the Vickery. It was a pleasure to view and especially seeing my children have so much fun. I grew up with sledding on snow days off from school in KY. It was a lot of fun and the homemade hot chocolate could not be beat!
