5 Ways to De-Stress Your Holidays

When being asked what are the top 5 things I would recommend to start skyrocketing productivity and efficiency to make it through the last two month of the year these are the things I would recommend.

1. Set a day for organization. Say what? Yes, get organized! Is your desk a mess? Digital folders and filenames not organized? Behind on finances or budgeting? Is that closet a mess… and I am totally not speaking of myself here. This is something that I have to schedule for myself as well on an ongoing basis because well life happens. And even the organized Type A”ers” can get behind. Create a list of everything you need to get caught up on, allocate time, and get busy!

2. Start planning NOW! – don’t wait until 2016! No more, “I will start Monday. No, next Monday. Next Month. No I will start in the new year.” NOOOOO Start NOW! Anything you are putting off stop. Habits are soooo hard to break, but if you can start planning and setting yourself up for success now, then you start reaping the benefits later! I can not tell you how many people have asked to buy a 2015 planner. Well guess what, we have been sold out for months. Well we just created a FREE PDF download that will pair with any 2016 Planner so that you can not wait to the new year but start NOW! No excuses! šŸ™‚ You can grab yours now at www.StartPlanner.com ! The download includes a holiday planner & budget, November and December calendar and goal setter, and Daily pages to get you jump started.

3. Look ahead at holiday budgets and preliminary budget for 2016. As part of the download it includes holiday planning. These last two months of the year end up being a heavy spending months. Start setting preliminary budgets for the beginning of 2016 and for the last two months! Without budgets and goals to strive for you can start seeing some red numbers and we want to keep you in the green! šŸ™‚

4. Make Lists – Have an ongoing list, so when you think of something, you can easily add it! I mean I am a “planner”….. I had to mention making lists right! šŸ™‚ Make lists for holiday gifting, holiday dinners, client gifting, groceries, etc(which of course this is all in the planner to help guide you). But lists help you to save time and helps to properly allocate resources.

5. Schedule Fun & Pampering yourself! YESSS!!! One you might actually like! šŸ˜‰ But seriously avoid burnout and remember to take care of yourself during this busy season. Schedule fun activities and ways to reward and pamper yourself. A clear mind will allow you to focus on the tasks at hand!

And last but not least it all allows you to be more PRESENT in every moment. Because before you know it folks, 2015 will be over! So soak it all up and enjoy the holidays!
