I am going to try to start blogging more personal posts again! I have gotten so busy that I haven’t be sharing or documenting as much, but I want to remember this crazy stage of our lives. Life is rather hectic really and I am lucky if I have time to shower on a daily basis. 🙂
If you are reading this and you are feeling stressed, schedule time to take a break from your normal routine with your friends or your husband to change it up for a couple days! Moms that say they feel guilty when they do this… just stop already! 🙂 To my fellow mamas….. I mean I got to eat with both hands uninterrupted for three days straight…. it was magic really.
I SOOOOO needed this last weekend!!! A friend Amanda, is tying the knot in a couple weeks so it was the perfect excuse to get away to celebrate her in 30A for a long weekend! I feel like I have been crazy lately and really for the last 10 years I have not done enough of this. I have not always balanced all my relationships well, because life happens(with both business and family demands) and there is just limited time. But it is important to make sure to allocate time to yourself and relationships so you are balanced! It is good for your kids, your marriage, and more important… YOU!
In between the endless laundry, being a mom to three boys, being an entrepreneur, being room mom(how did that happen I will never know), wife(oh wait have to take care of that relationship) and being a personal shuttle for my kids it was so nice to spend a couple days to just be. Being completely honest I needed it for me.We all do so much for everyone else I am going to start making this a priority to invest more in relationships… because I seriously had such a good time! I laughed until I hurt… ate and drank so many horrible things, and tore up some popcorn… but it was so worth it!
By day three I was missing all my boys, re-energized and ready to come home and love on my boys and stoked to get back in the office!
Here are a couple pictures from the trip! Day 1 beach!
The bride! Bless you Brian! 😉
Day 2 everyone made it!
Meet “Gilbert” the swan… After almost 3 hours Amanda finally blew him up!
I mean it is totally acceptable at our age to ride a swan in a public beach right?
The crew! Can’t wait to see you all in a couple weeks!
Georgia girls! And Erica… seriously could you be any cuter!
SUCH A FUN NIGHT! 🙂
Georgia girls!
Nashville girls.
Final night on the beach!
Naturally being a photographer with all these gorgeous women I offer to take quick snapshots for them on the beach. They are all so pretty!
Is Erica not glowing… seriously so stinkin’ cute with her baby bump!
And because I actually had hair and makeup done two night in a row and I am never this relaxed on a beach trip I handed off the camera. 🙂
Girls we are planning something again soon… k 🙂
Feeling burn out… Take a break! Schedule a night out or weekend away with some fabulous friends!
