Silas’s Nursery: Southern and Natural

Sigh…. now this baby can come!!!! 😉 Finally the nursery is done!!! I am always SOO organized and ahead of schedule on everything, but this nursery is JUST NOW DONE!Yay!!

Ohh I LOVE everything about this room! I wanted to create a space that was very open, light, and airy. For me, when I start something, I have to be inspired by something. I first came across a sheep painting by a local artist Deborah Pellock, then I found some vintage frames, the longhorns(which I know some people don’t like but that is okay), and then the grey linen fabric and the rest was history! Huge thanks to my shopping buddies Leah and Deborah for helping my indecisive, preggo-self make some decisions! 🙂

HERE IT IS!!! 🙂

The crib is a Jenny Lind convertible crib in grey.

The teepee I found on Etsy from HouseInHabit and I fell in love! There are a ton of tee-pees out there but I loved the raw wood, rope, and natural canvas look. You can also easily fold it up and move it as well! The brothers have already been breaking it in so I have a feeling it is going to be a fun space for all the boys!

Every nursery has to have a JellyCat or two 🙂 I found the sheepskin rug at HomeGoods for $29.99! I love HomeGoods 🙂

All the cow pictures were from our maternity shoot pictures from HERE with Tricia! The longhorns skull is from Hobby Lobby!

The sheep painting on the left is by Deboarh Pellock. I love the dresser… it’s timeless piece! Jameson Wide dresser in the antiqued natural from Restoration Hardware and there are vintage mismatching frames from local antique stores hanging above.

I found this gold coat rack at a local antique store and it is seriously one of those things I just LOVE….a whooping $8 too! Mini Vintage Lantern from Restoration Hardware that will be perfect to turn on for those late night diaper changes. The books are also from a local antique store.

You can see our DIY rope shelves and how we built them on this blog post HERE. Snow Leopard Fur Throw on the chair is from RH as well and on final sale! 🙂

I love mixing modern and industrial aspects into rooms! The Mariners Wall Scones were perfect little accents to bring in some neat lighting.

This fabric had me waiting forever and I almost thought it was not going to make it in time! The custom panels, curtains, and pillows are all fabrics from Forsyth Fabrics and Lorriane(a local seamstress) did a beautiful job making everything come to life!

I just LOVE!

Our maternity pictures and location could not have been any better! These Longhorn pictures are PERFECT!

I found the rug at HomeGoods for a whopping 149! Woot.. I love it when I actually find something I love at a good price! 🙂

I can’t wait to rock him there soon!

Okay Silas! Whenever you are done “cooking” we are ready for you! 🙂
xoxo,
KD

  2. Jenny says:

awe, your little man’s nursery is absolute perfection! can you share where the crib skirt is from? i love the fullest!

  3. Kristy Dickerson says:

Thank you Brittany!!! 🙂 Jenny the crib skirt is linen grey fabric that I found at Forsyth fabrics and then I just had a plain crib skirt made. I wanted it full since it was a solid color.
