Work it Wedne$day: Bite Size Goals!

WorkItWednesday_BlogHeadder

Have you ever thought about doing something and you really don’t even know where to start? Or is it something that just seems overwhelming and you don’t think that you have the time or resources to get it done? Goals should be attainable but they should also push you. I have been working on goals or projects and I have literally said, “I CAN’T do this”, “I don’t know how to get out of this mess”, and “Let’s look at other options.”

If you are working on a goal and it seems unattainable here are two things you can do:

  1. Make it “Bite Size”. Break it down into smaller goals and projects with shorter deadlines. Look at all the tasks that need to be done and see if you can outsource or delegate something that you are not as good at. Before you know it you will be a third of the way there, halfway, and then completing that goal.
  2. Accountability partner. Share you goals with someone else. A true friend knows what you are capable of and can push you when you feel like you can’t go any further.

I really feel like the biggest difference between successful people and not is the ability to dream big and push yourself forward (or with some help). Did you read my statements above? Yes, I need pushing as well because it doesn’t matter what we do I don’t think we are capable of seeing our own potential. If you are working on a goal for yourself, your family, or your professional career start biting off pieces NOW!

And a video to go along with it!

Now get busy!… Breaking it down! 🙂 – Kristy
