Last year was our first Disney trip(as an adult) and so many people asked me to blog the experience and to give my opinions and feedback. Honestly I didn’t feel like I was able to do everything to properly give my opinions. After this trip I would say we have mastered Magic and Animal Kingdom.
I am going to share our experience and if you have any specific questions or advice like top five rides or anything let me know!
Day 1 is when we arrived in Orlando! We learned last year don’t go to the park the day you arrive. Rest, hit the pool, and get settled. We stayed at Bay Lake Contemporary and the kids loved it!
They had all sorts of games for the kids to participate in.
Brothers! These two are worlds apart in age. But I love seeing them when they interact!
As you can see. Silas felt right at home at Bay Lake! 😉
A couple of notes. The picture on the left is from our room. That is the same lagoon with the alligators and we were only there two weeks before them. In defense to that poor mom I even know there are alligators in Florida but I would have never thought anything about an alligator. My heart just aches for them. That first night we decided to downtown Disney. It is perfect to experience Disney on days you don’t have access to the park. We did Rainforest Cafe and poor Silas as so scared there. My Mom snapped this picture of us and I just love it. Life is just so fragile and those boys are my entire world. I could not imagine if anything ever happened to them!
Mimi came along for the trip to help out with the littlest one!
Okay Day 1 Magic Kingdom!!! We started our day with early access into the park and breakfast at The Royal Table! **notice August smile here.**
Right before this was his face. Then they told him you get a sword at your table if you are a good boy. Hey bribery.. whatever works… ya feel me moms! 🙂
When you walk in you are greeted with Cinderella! My sister-in-law Tori and niece Haley was along for the trip too!

4 different princesses came by our table. Highly recommend this restaurant. Really neat experience being inside the castle! Â

And I mean look at August! All smiles!
I just loved Jasmine! She was so talkative and great with the kids!
This is Haley! She is my niece as has Cystic Fibrosis. I am so so glad she got to come along with us and expierence the magic of Disney! Such an awesome trip!
Again August… all smiles… and I didn’t even have to tell him!
A little tip for Disney? Last year we bought that expensive Disney book for signatures. This year instead I brought 5×7 white postcards with me. And the end of the trip, scanned them in so that way we can add the signatures to the photo book!
Then onto rides at Magic Kingdom!
My favorite ride this year was “It’s a small world. Silas and my Mom joined us after breakfast and he got to ride along!
This is a bad quality iphone picture that my mom snapped… BUT he was literally having so much fun! He was laughing and screaming and smiling this entire boat trip!!!! Made my heart so happy!
Another neat ride, Peter Pan’s Flight! It is a Disney classic. August(4) was all “Mom we are flying!!! This is amazing.” Roman(8) “Mom we are not flying but it is neat.” You get my gist though. August believed and Roman knew obviously we were not, but still a ride you should do while at Magic Kingdom!
August could only hang for so long so he went back to the room for some rest with the baby and Mimi. The older ones keep on going! Anna and Elsa!Â

Daytime parade!
Then on to SPLASH MOUNTAIN! 🙂 I mean this is a classic!
Disney’s candid capture.
Gopro capture after the big splash!
We then wrapped up this day with dinner at Cinderella’s Table with Winnie Pooh and his friends! The younger two met up with us.
Notice Silas’s outfit? I mean I had to have him wearing his Pooh outfit representing!
Normal August…. always up to something!
He did not know what to think about everything! He loved seeing all the lights and characters!
After dinner they were having a daytime parade and dance party.
We decided to stop an join! 🙂 Look at Silas… that is how HOT it was!
Now that August has some time to rest we went at it again for another couple of hours! Hit Splash Mountain again and 7 Dwarfs Mine Train!
And I SWEAR everyone… August loved all of these rides. It cracks me up that seeing the pictures afterwards that his eyes are closed but I he had a blast and after every ride would say again mommy! We rode it twice. Once while August was napping and again that night with him! Such good times!
Day 2 coming next… Animal Kingdom! 🙂
