Lake Home – Half-Bathroom

I know I’ve been a little negligent when it comes to sharing the remainder of my home, but I thought now would be a great time. This home has already brought in so many memories, and I wanted to show you our half-bathroom project. I mean, just wait till you look at the before and after on this space! This is the first room when you walk in the front door! It is the space where all the guests go as well so it was important for it feel good!

Trevor had his team tackle this space, and I am so grateful! So all construction was handled by Johnstone and Co team. Thea with TMQ Interiors helped to pick all the finishing details pulling the space together!

Okay, let’s see this space, and then I will share more! Everything was builder grade and everything in this home was like an orange-tan color. The hardwoods, the walls, the tiles… everything…

Before

Seeing these before images is insane! We took something dark and turned it into a bright and inviting bathroom for our guests.

It was also a process! Doing the entire back wall with tile bought texture to a light wall. We went with a light grout so it would all just blend, and the texture would be a subtle detail.

Process

After

Here is the after! I mean danggg….

The sink is a Kohler sink. Unfortunately, it is no longer available, but rejuvenation has a comparable that I wanted to share just in case you are finding this as inspiration! The walls are Simply White which is the main color in the rest of the home! Found this mirror from lowes which is such a great price, and I love the gold accent that it brought to the room! Also, this soap holder from Etsy was essential because the sink doesn’t have counter space, and it kept everything looking clean(pun intended). I love mixing metals, and I love how this space allowed for it!

Yall know my obsession with original artwork. This is a piece that I have loved for a long time, and it was great here! I will also likely change the artwork and hang towels out in here from time to time to make the space feel different. 🙂 Having a more neutral palette in spaces, you can do that!

And to show the impact…. Take a look at this before and after side by side!!!

Little by little small projects and spaces add up!
