How are we already here??? 6 months, 183 sleeps , half a year with this little man apart of our family. I seriously can not believe it. Everyone I see that has older kids says, “enjoy it, they grow up fast”. They are so right and sometimes when I am covered in coats of baby carrots, I also forget that this passes quickly…. this is my third and I know how fast they grow up. Today I looked back on the past 5 months of photos that I have taken of Silas and it makes me so sad to think that those moments have already gone by. I seriously feel like yesterday I was 9 months pregnant and miserable, just hoping and praying he would come. Now here we are.
Silas is such a trouper being thrown into our crazy lives. At 5 months old, he was getting up on all fours and now at 6 months old he is mobile! I wouldn’t classify it as crawling. It is more of a scoot. He really is such a HAPPY baby and a joy to be around. As long as he has a full belly and plenty of rest you can expect him to give you a big a smile when you talk or look at him. We got him a walker about two weeks ago and he loves adventuring around the house. If you don’t watch it… he will come up behind and take your feet out. He lights up when his brothers come into the room. August had the hardest time adjusting to having a new little one in the house. Now he tells everyone it is his baby and he goes out of his way every morning and on random occasions to give him a kiss and to talk to him. 6 months of sporadic sleep, adjustments, love, hugs, kisses, and smiles. Silas we love you!!! Happy half first birthday!
